About “The Virtual Exhibition + Artist’s Book” Call For Art:

“Virtual Exhibition + Artist’s Book” is an international open call inviting women artists to submit their work for an digital showcase. This project aims to recognize, celebrate, and support the creative talents of women artists worldwide by offering them a unique platform to present their art in a virtual format as well as in a beautifully crafted artist’s book.

This initiative, launched in 2024, represents the second edition of our dual-format exhibition and publication. “Virtual Exhibition + Artist’s Book” is designed to be a comprehensive anthology that documents and celebrates the diverse practices and perspectives of contemporary artists. The project provides an immersive experience, combining the accessibility of a digital exhibition with the tactile allure of a traditional artist’s book.

Women artists aged 18 and above from any country are invited to submit their work for consideration. This open call is an extraordinary opportunity for artists to gain international exposure and connect with a global audience. Each selected artist will have their work prominently featured in both the virtual exhibition and the artist’s book (if they opt for it), providing them with a dual platform to share their vision and voice.

“Virtual Exhibition + Artist’s Book” is a compilation that brings to life the stories and artworks of 100 selected artists. It spans across mediums and styles, showcasing the inventive processes and personal narratives behind each creation. The virtual exhibition offers an interactive experience where viewers can engage with the artworks in a dynamic online environment. Meanwhile, the artist’s book serves as a tangible keepsake, featuring high-quality reproductions of the artworks alongside interviews, and behind-the-scenes insights into the artists’ journeys.

Theme – Lines and Curves

The second edition of “Virtual Exhibition + Artist’s Book” welcomes women artists from all backgrounds to explore the theme of “Lines and Curves.” This open call invites you to interpret these fundamental elements of art in your own unique way. From abstract designs to realistic depictions, lines and curves can express a wide range of ideas and emotions.

Exploring the Theme

Lines and curves are everywhere in art and life. They can be simple or complex, bold or subtle, but they always add meaning and interest to your work:

  • Lines: Straight, curved, thick, thin—lines can guide the viewer’s eye, define shapes, and create textures.
  • Curves: Smooth and flowing or sharp and angular, curves bring movement and grace to a piece.

Artistic Interpretations

We encourage all artists to submit work that reflects their personal take on “Lines and Curves.” Whether you work in traditional media like painting and drawing, or modern techniques such as digital art and photography, we want to see how you use these elements in your art.

My journey with Arts to Hearts Project has been nothing short of surprising and deeply rewarding. While I continue to harbor reservations about participating in competitions relying on public votes, my experience with Arts to Hearts Project has indeed been filled with surprises and gratitude. Initially cautious, I was taken aback by the rule changes introducing a public vote component.

Despite my reservations, the overwhelming support received, securing the highest number of votes, has left me pleasantly surprised and deeply thankful to everyone who appreciated my Soul!
