Calling All Artists: Virtual Exhibition + Artist's Book

“Virtual Exhibition + Artist’s Book” is an international open call inviting artists to submit their work for an digital showcase. This project aims to recognize, celebrate, and support the creative talents of artists worldwide by offering them a unique platform to present their art in a virtual format as well as in a beautifully crafted artist’s book.

This initiative, launched in 2024, represents the third edition of our dual-format exhibition and publication. “Virtual Exhibition + Artist’s Book” is designed to be a comprehensive anthology that documents and celebrates the diverse practices and perspectives of contemporary artists. The project provides an immersive experience, combining the accessibility of a digital exhibition with the tactile allure of a traditional artist’s book.

Artists aged 18 and above from any country are invited to submit their work for consideration. This open call is an extraordinary opportunity for artists to gain international exposure and connect with a global audience. Each selected artist will have their work prominently featured in both the virtual exhibition and the artist’s book (if they opt for it), providing them with a dual platform to share their vision and voice.

Please note: Artists submitting their work should be aware that inclusion is not guaranteed, as this opportunity involves a juried selection process.

About the Virtual Exhibition + Artist Book

“Virtual Exhibition + Artist’s Book” is a compilation that brings to life the stories and artworks of 100 selected artists. It spans across mediums and styles, showcasing the inventive processes and personal narratives behind each creation. The virtual exhibition offers an interactive experience where viewers can engage with the artworks in a dynamic online environment. Meanwhile, the artist’s book serves as a tangible keepsake, featuring high-quality reproductions of the artworks alongside interviews, and behind-the-scenes insights into the artists’ journeys.

Theme - Theme; Time and Memory

Theme; Time and Memory

The theme “Time and Memory” invites artists to share the art they made during emotional moments in their lives—whether in times of joy, sadness, love, or growth. Your art carries the stories of where you’ve been, how you’ve felt, and the way those moments have shaped you. This is your chance to reflect on how time moves through your life and how your emotions, captured in your art, reflect your personal journey.

Maybe you created something during a joyful time, and that piece holds the energy of happiness. Or maybe you made art as a way to work through sadness or uncertainty, and it captures those raw emotions. Perhaps there’s a work that reminds you of a turning point—a memory of love, loss, or transformation. These creations are more than just art; they are pieces of time forever preserved.

This theme is open to interpretation. You can share what inspired the art, the emotion it holds, or what the memory behind it means to you now. Whether your work reflects a fleeting moment, a life-changing experience, or the slow passage of time, this is an opportunity to tell your story through your art.

We encourage you to dive into the feelings and memories tied to your creations. Share the joy, the pain, the nostalgia, or even the quiet moments in between. Show us how your art is a reflection of your life and how those moments still resonate today. Whatever your personal connection, we look forward to experiencing your unique expression of time and memory.

This art call welcomes artists aged 18 and above from all over the world to apply. Artists of all mediums, such as painting, sculpture, mixed media, and beyond, are invited to participate.

Please adhere to the following guidelines when submitting your work:

  1. Ensure that your Headshot/artworks are submitted with high-resolution images.
  2. Include a front shot of the artwork image in your submission.
  3. If your work involves an installation or sculpture, please include a photo of the piece in its installed state.
  4. Submit your artist bio and statement in less than 150 words.
  5. Submit an artwork statement in less than 50 words.

Note: Artists submitting their work should be aware that inclusion is not guaranteed, as this opportunity involves a juried selection process.

Submissions are reviewed by a panel of experienced curators, and a jury. Selection is based on the quality of the artwork, the uniqueness of the creative process, and the relevance to the theme.

My journey with Arts to Hearts Project has been nothing short of surprising and deeply rewarding. While I continue to harbor reservations about participating in competitions relying on public votes, my experience with Arts to Hearts Project has indeed been filled with surprises and gratitude. Initially cautious, I was taken aback by the rule changes introducing a public vote component.

Despite my reservations, the overwhelming support received, securing the highest number of votes, has left me pleasantly surprised and deeply thankful to everyone who appreciated my Soul!
