“100 Artworks from Emerging Artists: Women’s Edition” is an annual project by the Arts to Hearts Project dedicated to showcasing the innovative and creative talents of emerging women artists from around the world. This publication is designed to highlight 100 remarkable artworks, each selected for its unique style, creativity, and compelling narrative.
Our mission is to bring attention to the extraordinary contributions of women in contemporary art. Artists featured in this edition work with a diverse array of mediums, from captivating paintings and intricate printmaking to traditional tapestries and groundbreaking augmented reality. Their works not only display their artistic prowess but also their courage in addressing pressing global issues and exploring the vast spectrum of human emotions.

Danielle Krysa
Danielle Krysa has a BFA in Visual Arts and a post-grad in graphic design. She is the writer/curator behind the contemporary art site, The Jealous Curator (est.2009), and has curated art shows from Washington DC to Los Angeles, and San Francisco to Toronto. Danielle creates her own artwork as well – mixed media collages, which combine found images, paint, and as much humour as she can pack into each title. When she’s not in the studio, Danielle is writing books: “Creative Block”, “Collage”, and “Your Inner Critic Is A Big Jerk” were the first three, and her fourth book, “A Big Important Art Book – Now with Women”, was released in October 2018. Danielle has also had the great pleasure of speaking at TEDx, PIXAR, Creative Mornings, and CreativeLive, and was interviewed for several video segments on oprah.com.

Application Details
This call invites women and womxn artists worldwide to freely express their creativity without limitations. Artists of all mediums, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, and more, are encouraged to participate. The aim is to foster a diverse collection of artworks that authentically showcase each artist’s creative voice.

Applications are open to women and womxn artists aged 18 or above from around the world and belonging to various disciplines, such as painting, sculpture, photography, installation, digital art, and more.
Important Note:
Please understand that submitting your work and paying the submission fee does not guarantee inclusion. This opportunity features a juried selection process, with each submission being evaluated by a panel to determine which works will be included.
This call for submissions is open to all women and womxn artists from around the world, regardless of their chosen medium (painting, sculpture, mixed media, or any other form of art).
Please adhere to the following guidelines when submitting your work:
- Ensure that your artworks are submitted with high-resolution images.
- Include a front shot of the artwork image in your submission.
- If your work involves an installation or sculpture, please include a photo of the piece in its installed state.
- Submit your artist bio and statement in less than 150 words.
- Submit an artwork statement in less than 50 words.
Important Note
Artists are invited to submit up to 5 unique artworks for the jury’s consideration. However, please note that only one of your artworks will be selected for publication in the print edition.

Yes, recent graduates from degree-granting programs are eligible to apply as long as they meet the other eligibility criteria.
